How to use Compress PDF

- Pick low, medium, or high compression.
- Press Compress PDF and download compressed.pdf.
Supported files and limits
- One PDF at a time, up to 50 MB and 300 pages.
- High compression can lower image quality.
- Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
Your files and privacy
This tool sends your file to our server, which processes it to make the result. The server is built to remove the temporary copy when processing ends. The privacy page has the details. Read the privacy notice.
Frequently asked questions
Will quality drop?
Low keeps the best quality. Medium is a balance. High gives the smallest file and can make images look softer.
What if the file does not get smaller?
Some PDFs are already compact. Then we return your original file and say so.
Is my file uploaded?
Yes, this tool needs our server. See the privacy page for how files are handled.
